We-Commerce: Collections

Introduction

The Fluid system gives you the flexibility to create categories and collections to help you better manage your products. Collections are the child to Categories, and in this article we will discuss Collections and how to best use them. 

Overview

A category allows you to create the parent to a collection. An example of a category might be Jewelry, and within that category you can have collections, such as necklaces, rings and earrings. To learn more about Categories, click here.

To Create a Collection

• Log in to the Fluid Admin portal.
• On the left hand navigation sidebar under We-commerce, select Products.
• On the Product drop down, select "Collections" in the submenu.
• You now have access to the Collections section within the portal.

Collections Overview

• On the Collections page when first opened, you will see any collections you have created.
  • You have the ability to view:
    • All collections
    • Active collections
    • Inactive collection
  • If you have not created any collections yet, this section will appear blank.
• You can also filter and search for collections on this page.

Managing Current Collections

• If you have previously created a collection, you can manage that collection here.
• Select the collection you wish to manage.
• Once the category opens you have the ability to manage all collection settings. 

Creating a New Collection

• Click the blue “+Add Collection” button in the top right corner of the screen.
• Create the Title of the collection.
• Create the description of the collection.
• Add a piece of media for the collection.
• Associate products with the collection.
• Toggle the Collection Status to Active in the top right corner.
• Decide if you want to Feature this specific collection.
• Select the theme for the collection.
• Choose whether to enable SEO or not.
