Admin: Mobile App Managing Header Tabs

Introduction

Header tabs (sometimes called sub-tabs or nested tabs) are navigation elements that appear at the top of a main tab page, such as Home, Share or Shop. These tabs allow users to quickly switch between related sections without leaving the main tab. Managing these header tabs gives you control over how content is organized and displayed inside your mobile app.

Login to Admin Portal

  1. Visit: https://admin.fluid.app/
  2. Enter your email address associated with your account.
  3. Retrieve the 6 digit code sent to your email and enter it.
  4. You are now in your company's Fluid Admin portal.

Platforms: Mobile App

  1. On the left hand navigation, find the Platforms section.
  2. Select Mobile Apps and you will see three dropdowns:
    1. Home Tabs
    2. Share Tabs
    3. Shop Tabs
  3. Select which tab you want to edit and click into it.
  4. Once inside the specific tab, select which page you want to manage and open it.
  5. Once opened, on the left navigation you will see all of your available widgets, but above those you will see:
    1. Main Tabs: These are main tabs you can add across the headers of the Home, Share and Shop tabs. These will display across the top of the header.
    2. Not Linked: These are hidden tabs. They allow you to create a new tab, build it completely out, and then hide it from the header. Once hidden, you can link to that tab from other widgets.
      1. Benefits of Not Linked Tabs: Rather than cluttering the entire top navigation of the Home, Share or Shop page with a bunch of tabs, Not Linked tabs allows you to create tabs, fully build them out, hide them from the top navigation, but link to them from other widgets.

Main Tabs

  1. To create a new tab across the top navigation, next to the Main Tabs section, select the + sign.
  2. Once you hit the + sign, you will see a new tab appear under the Main Tabs section, as well as across the header. It will start by saying Tab #1.
  3. On the left navigation under Main Tabs, hover your mouse over it and select the pencil to edit the name of the tab.
  4. Once you have named the tab, you can now begin building out that tab with widgets.
    1. You will know you are editing the new tab as it will be highlighted in blue across the header navigation.

Not Linked Tabs

  1. To create a Not Linked tab, next to the Not Linked section, select the + sign.
  2. Once you hit the + sign, you will see a new tab appear under the Not Linked Tabs section. It’s important to note, you will not see the tab across the header navigation.
    1. You will now you are editing the new, Not Linked tab because no tab will be highlighted across the header navigation.
  3. You can now build out the tab with the widgets you want to add.
  4. Once the tab is built, you can use another widget within your main tabs, such as a nested widget, and you will have the option to Link Tab under the right hand navigation, which will link to the hidden tab.
