System Status

Introduction

The System Status section in your admin portal provides comprehensive real-time monitoring of your platform's performance, data engines, and service uptime. This essential monitoring dashboard enables you to track system health, identify potential issues, and ensure optimal performance across all critical components. The System Status management interface delivers crucial insights into API response times, database performance, order processing, and webhook reliability, empowering you to maintain exceptional service quality and proactively address any operational concerns.

Accessing System Status

  1. Log in to the Admin portal
  2. In the left navigation sidebar, locate the "Settings" section
  3. Select "System Status" from the menu options

Data Engines

Overview

The Data Engines section provides real-time visibility into your MLM backend integrations and commission processing systems. These engines represent the critical data synchronization between your e-commerce platform and various MLM commission engines, ensuring seamless flow of orders, commissions, and distributor data.

Understanding Engine Status

Visual Status Indicators:

  • Green Bars: Indicate successful data synchronization and normal communication with MLM backends
  • Red Bars: Highlight integration failures or API connectivity issues requiring immediate attention
  • Orange/Yellow Bars: Show sync delays or partial data transfer issues
  • Gray Areas: Represent scheduled maintenance windows or batch processing periods

Developer

Overview

The Developer section provides critical technical metrics for your platform's API performance, website availability, and page load speeds. This comprehensive monitoring helps development teams maintain optimal performance and quickly identify technical issues affecting integrations and user experience.

API Performance Monitoring

API Response Status

  • Purpose: Tracks the health and availability of your platform's REST and GraphQL APIs
  • Uptime Percentage: Shows overall API availability (e.g., "100% Uptime" indicates perfect availability)
  • Response Time Metrics: Displays average time for API calls to complete (measured in milliseconds)
  • Records Synced: Shows volume of data successfully processed through API endpoints

Understanding API Metrics:

  • Green Status Bar: Indicates successful API responses and healthy performance
  • Performance Targets:
    • Excellent: Under 100ms response time
    • Good: 100-300ms response time
    • Acceptable: 300-500ms response time
    • Poor: Over 500ms (requires optimization)
  • Sync Metrics: "Since Last Sync" shows time elapsed and record count since last successful synchronization

Common API Issues to Monitor:

  • Timeout errors during high load periods
  • Authentication failures from expired tokens
  • Rate limiting impacts on third-party integrations
  • Endpoint-specific performance degradation

Website Uptime Monitoring

Website Availability Tracking

  • Purpose: Monitors customer-facing website accessibility and performance
  • Uptime Percentage: Shows website availability (e.g., "93% Uptime" indicates some downtime occurred)
  • Error Indicators: "3 Errors" alerts showing specific failure instances
  • Downtime Alerts: "Data Engine Down" warnings indicate backend connectivity issues

Interpreting Website Status:

  • Green Bars: Successful page loads and normal operations
  • Red Bars: Complete website unavailability or critical errors
  • Error Types:
    • 500 Series: Server errors requiring immediate attention
    • 503 Service Unavailable: Often indicates overload or maintenance
    • Database Connection: Backend connectivity failures
    • Timeout Errors: Performance-related issues

Webhook Monitoring

Purpose Web hook monitoring tracks the real-time status of automated HTTP notifications sent to external systems when specific events occur on your platform. This ensures critical business events are properly communicated to all integrated systems and partners.

Understanding Webhook Status

Visual Status Indicators:

  • Green (Successful): Webhook delivered and acknowledged by receiving system
  • Red (Failed): Delivery failed, requiring retry or manual intervention
  • Orange/Yellow (Pending): Webhook queued for delivery or currently being processed

Fair Share

Purpose Fair Share monitoring is specific to MLM businesses, tracking how effectively orders are being attributed to distributors or sponsors. This critical metric ensures proper commission distribution and validates that the genealogy/sponsorship system is functioning correctly.

Understanding Attribution Metrics

Orders with Attribution

  • What It Measures: Percentage of orders successfully linked to a distributor or sponsor
  • Visual Representation: Graph showing attribution rate over time
  • Target Performance: Higher percentages indicate healthy MLM tracking
  • Trend Analysis:
    • Increasing percentage shows improving attribution
    • Decreasing percentage may indicate technical issues or unlinked customers
