Users: An Admin Overview

Introduction

The Users section in your admin portal lets you manage all user accounts, both administrative users and field representatives. From here you can monitor, modify, and maintain user access across your digital ecosystem.

Accessing User Management

  1. Log in to the Fluid Admin portal
  2. Near the bottom of the navigation sidebar, select "Users"

User Dashboard

Main View

The Users dashboard displays key information for each user:

  • Name
  • Status (Active/Deleted)
  • Registration date
  • Role (Admin/Rep)
  • External ID

Navigate your user base efficiently with multiple filtering options:

  • Status Tabs

    • All Users
    • Active Users
    • Deleted Users
  • Advanced Filters

    • Filter by user type (Admin/Rep)
    • Filter by country
    • Filter by registration date

Adding New Users

Creating an Account

  1. Click the + symbol in the top right corner
  2. Fill out the new user form:
    • Name
    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • Time zone
    • Language/Country
    • User type (Admin/Rep)
  3. Click Save to create the account

User Types

When creating a new user, you'll need to specify their role:

  • Admin Users

    • Full system access
    • Administrative privileges
    • Backend configuration abilities
  • Rep Users

    • Limited system access
    • Field sales tools
    • Customer management features

Admin privileges should only be granted to authorized personnel who require full system access.

Managing Roles

Accessing Roles

  1. On the Users page, click the Settings button in the top-right corner
  2. You'll be taken to the Roles page, which displays a list of all existing roles with:
    • Title
    • Created Date
    • Members (number of users in the role)
    • Permissions

Creating New Roles

  1. Click "Create A New Role" in the top right corner
  2. In the popup form, enter a title for your new role

Roles help you manage permissions and members for your application.

Best Practices

Security

  • Regularly review admin access
  • Implement strong password policies
  • Monitor unusual activity
  • Remove access for departed users promptly

User Management

  • Keep contact information current
  • Document role changes
  • Maintain accurate status
  • Regular access reviews

Training

  • Provide system orientation
  • Document common procedures
  • Offer ongoing support
  • Update training materials

Use the search and filter functions to quickly locate specific users or groups when managing large user bases.
