Admin: Promo Code Overview

Introduction

Let's walk through creating and configuring promotional discounts in the Admin portal. You can create both automatic discounts and coupon codes to drive sales and reward customers.

Accessing Promo Code Portal

1. Log in to the Fluid Admin portal.
2. On the left hand navigation sidebar under We-commerce, select Products.
3. On the Product drop down, select "Promo Codes" in the submenu.
4. You now have access to the Promo Codes section of the portal.

Promo Codes Overview

• On the Promo Codes page you can view:
  • All: Shows all promo codes
  • Active: Shows all active promo codes
  • Inactive: Shows all inactive promo codes
• Search: Gives you the ability to search for a specific promo code.

Creating a New Promo Code

• Click the blue “+New Promo Code” button in the top right corner. 

Promo Code Configuration

• Discount Code
  • Enter the code you want to use or use the generate button to create a random discount code.
  • Apply Automatically At Checkout:
    • If selected, the code will automatically be applied at checkout. 
    • If unselected, the code will have to be entered at checkout.
• Discount Type
  • Percentage: Set the discount percentage.
  • Fixed Amount: Set specific dollar amount. 
  • Free Products: Select products to giveaway. 
  • Free Shipping: Applies free shipping. 

• Applies To:
  • Applicable for All: Promo is available for all products.
  • Specific Collections: Promo is available only on specific collections.
  • Specific Products: Promo is available only on specific products. 
  • Exclude Specific Products: Exclude specific products from the promo. 
  • Apply Discounts To Subscription Orders:
    • If selected, the promo will apply to subscription orders.
    • If unselected, the promo will not apply to subscription orders.

• Shopper Type:
  • Member: A distributor.
  • Guest: A customer.

• Maximum Discount Uses:
  • Limit Number of Times This Discount Can be Used in Total: This is the number of times the discount can be used in total for all customers. 
  • Limit to One Use Per Customer: If selected, this will only allow a customer to use the promo code once. 

• This Discount Can Be Combined With:
  • Other Product Discounts: Allows for the promo code to be used with other product discounts. 
  • Shipping Discounts: Allows for the promo code to be used with shipping discounts. 

• Country Eligibility:
  • Apply to All Countries: This promo code would be available for all countries.
  • Apply to Specific Countries: Allows you to select what countries the promo code is available in.
  • Exclude Specific Countries: Allows you to select what countries the promo code excluded from.

• Minimum Purchase Requirements:
  • No Minimum Requirements: There is no minimum purchase requirement in order to utilize the promo.
  • Minimum Purchase Amount: There is a set minimum purchase amount required to utilize the promo.
  • Minimum Quantity: There is a minimum product quantity required to utilize the promo.

• Customer Eligibility
  • All Customers: Promo is available to all customers. 
  • Specific Customer Segments: Promo is only available to specific customer segments.
  • Specific Customers: Promo is available only to specific customers.
  • First Time Customers: Promo is available only for first time customers.

Best Practices

• Use clear, descriptive coupon codes
• Set appropriate usage limits
• Monitor promotion performance
• Test coupon codes before launch

Review the summary panel on the right before saving to ensure all settings are configured correctly.
